The Slovaks of the United States
The Slovaks of the United States, numbering about 32,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Slovak American community descended largely from migrants who arrived in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, settling in industrial centers where they formed churches, societies, and newspapers.
They are a diaspora people in the Slav, Western people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples. Their primary religion is Roman Catholicism, and they primarily speak Slovak.
