The Chikunda of Zimbabwe, numbering about 192,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Zambezi valley people descended from prazo-estate slave-soldiers who fled upriver as Portuguese Zambezia collapsed in the 1800s, settling the middle Zambezi Valley near Chirundu on the Zimbabwe side and absorbing into local Tonga and Gwembe communities.

They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Chewa-Sena people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Kunda.
