The Mon of the United States
The Mon of the United States, numbering about 100 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are one of Southeast Asia’s oldest Indigenous peoples, founders of some of the region’s earliest civilizations and a major cultural force in what is now Myanmar and Thailand.
They are a diaspora people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Theravada Buddhism, and they primarily speak Mon.
