The Micmac of the United States

The Micmac of the United States, numbering about 3,400 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are the only US-based band among the 28 Mi'kmaq bands of the Atlantic Northeast, recognized by Congress in 1991 as the Aroostook Band, whose ancestors signed the 1776 Treaty of Watertown, the first treaty the United States ever concluded with an outside power.

They are an indigenous people in the North American Indigenous people cluster of the North American Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak English.
