The Micmac of Canada
The Micmac of Canada, numbering about 15,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Northeastern Woodlands people of Atlantic Canada organized into seven districts led by a Grand Chief, who intermarried with French Acadian settlers while resisting British encroachment, later signing Peace and Friendship Treaties from 1725 to 1779.
They are an indigenous people in the North American Indigenous people cluster of the North American Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Mi'kmaq.
