The Kumiai of Mexico
The Kumiai of Mexico, numbering about 1,200 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are the Mexican branch of the Kumeyaay, hunter-gatherers and horticulturists who have inhabited the Baja California borderlands for more than ten thousand years, historically building temporary stick huts and moving with wild food sources.
They are an indigenous people in the Central American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Catholicism, and they primarily speak Spanish.
