The Hui of Malaysia
The Hui of Malaysia, numbering about 18,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Chinese Muslim diaspora community in Malaysia descended from Hui migrants from China, whose ancestry traces to Muslim traders, soldiers, and officials who intermarried with Han Chinese populations.
They are a diaspora people in the Chinese-Hui people cluster of the East Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Mandarin Chinese.
