They are a Singaporean diaspora community of Hui Muslim Chinese whose ancestry traces to Chinese-speaking Muslim populations that emerged through the integration of Chinese, Central Asian, Persian, and Arab influences.
They are a diaspora people in the Chinese-Hui people cluster of the East Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Mandarin Chinese.
