The Secoya of Peru
The Secoya of Peru, numbering about 900 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Amazonian people who call themselves Siekopa'ai and once held vast territory between the Putumayo and Napo rivers before rubber extraction, oil drilling, and Ecuador-Peru border conflict fragmented their land and communities across both countries.
They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Secoya.
