The Secoya of Ecuador
The Secoya of Ecuador, numbering about 800 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Amazonian people calling themselves Siekopai, whose territory once spanned seven million acres between the Putumayo and Napo rivers before rubber-era slavery, evangelization, and the 1941 Ecuador-Peru war fragmented their communities.
They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Secoya.
