The Junikuin of Peru
The Junikuin of Peru, numbering about 1,700 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are the Peru-Brazil border Amazon people who call themselves Huni Kuin, meaning true people, more widely known by the exonym Cashinahua, settled along the Purus and Curanja rivers and practicing Panoan shamanic ayahuasca ritual traditions.
They are an indigenous people in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Cashinahua.
