The Kokama of Brazil
The Kokama of Brazil, numbering about 9,600 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Amazonian people whose ancestors migrated from central Brazil to Peru's Ucayali River between the 9th and 16th centuries, later moving back to Brazil's upper Solimoes in the 20th century, reviving their suppressed Cocama identity since the 1980s.
They are an indigenous people in the Guarani people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Portuguese.
