The Pemon of Guyana
The Pemon of Guyana, numbering about 550 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Cariban people who migrated into the Gran Sabana region of the Venezuela-Guyana-Brazil border area roughly 600 years ago, first encountered by Westerners in the 1700s, divided into the Kamarakoto, Taurepan, and Arekuna dialect groups.
They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Pemon.
