The Bangi of the Democratic Republic of the Congo
The Bangi of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, numbering about 116,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Bantu people of the middle Congo River in DR Congo, whose canoe-based trading network made their language a regional lingua franca for inter-ethnic commerce until European arrival in the late 1800s.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Central-Congo people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Roman Catholicism, and they primarily speak Bangi.
