The Adja of Togo
The Adja of Togo, numbering about 287,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Gbe people whose ancestors migrated from the city of Tado on the Mono River in the 1100s-1200s to found the Aja-Tado kingdom, giving rise through later splits to the Allada, Dahomey, and Porto-Novo kingdoms and sharing origin with the Ewe and Fon.
They are an indigenous people in the Guinean people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Aja (Benin).
