The Vute of Nigeria
The Vute of Nigeria, numbering about 3,800 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Baboute people who migrated from the Lake Chad region to found the towns of Banyo and Tibati as the area's first ironworkers, settling near the Mbam River headwaters between the 1600s and 1800s with smaller communities extending into Nigeria.
They are an indigenous people in the Benue people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Vute.
