The Vute of Cameroon

The Vute of Cameroon, numbering about 44,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an ironworking people of Cameroon's Adamawa Region descended from migrants out of the Lake Chad basin who founded the towns of Banyo and Tibati, whose southward expansion helped push the Beti-Pahuin peoples further south.

They are an indigenous people in the Benue people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Islam, and they primarily speak Vute.
