The Upper Guinea Crioulo of Guinea-Bissau, numbering about 299,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Creole community descended from intermarriage between Portuguese lancado traders and West African coastal peoples beginning in the 1400s-1500s, whose Kriol language spread from Cabo Verde to become Guinea-Bissau's cross-ethnic national lingua franca.

They are an indigenous people in the Other Sub-Saharan African people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Roman Catholicism, and they primarily speak Upper Guinea Crioulo.
