The Upper Guinea Creoles of The Gambia, numbering about 28,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Afro-Atlantic creole people of West Africa descended from interaction between Portuguese settlers and local African populations. Associated with Cape Verdean and Guinea-Bissau Creole languages, they share a distinctive Luso-African cultural heritage.
They are a diaspora people in the Other Sub-Saharan African people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Upper Guinea Crioulo.
