The Ligbi of Ghana
The Ligbi of Ghana, numbering about 23,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Mande-speaking ethnolinguistic people of northwestern Ghana whose identity is rooted in the Ligbi language, farming traditions, regional trade networks, kinship ties, and a long history of Islamic influence.
They are an indigenous people in the Mande people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Islam, and they primarily speak Ligbi.
