The Ligbi of Côte d’Ivoire
The Ligbi of Côte d’Ivoire, numbering about 9,600 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Mande trading people related to the Dioula who moved from western Ghana into Cote d'Ivoire's Bondoukou area within the historic Kingdom of Gyaman, dealing in kola nuts and gold, though largely Islamized while keeping ancestral mask rites.
They are an indigenous people in the Mande people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Ligbi.
