The Asho Chin of Myanmar
The Asho Chin of Myanmar, numbering about 32,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Plains Chin people of Myanmar's lower Ayeyarwady basin and southern Rakhine, who moved east into the Burmese plains during the Pagan Kingdom era after living alongside the Khami for two centuries, unlike most Chin subgroups who stayed in the highlands.
They are an indigenous people in the Kuki-Chin (Zo) people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Theravada Buddhism, and they primarily speak Asho Chin.
