The Lushai of Bangladesh
The Lushai of Bangladesh, numbering about 2,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Kuki-related people of Bangladesh's Chittagong Hill Tracts sharing ties with the Mizo across the Indian border, whose early 19th-century raids on Sylhet and Chittagong villages for captive labor prompted a British punitive expedition in 1871.
They are an indigenous people in the Mizo people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Lushai.
