The Khasi of Bangladesh
The Khasi of Bangladesh, numbering about 274,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a people of Bangladesh's Sylhet Division who were among the earliest settlers of the Assam-Meghalaya-Sylhet region, founding an independent Jaintia kingdom by the 16th century before British trade posts undermined their chiefdoms' authority.
They are an indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Khasi.
