The Barwe of Mozambique
The Barwe of Mozambique, numbering about 44,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a small Bantu ethnic group from central Mozambique, closely related to the Sena-speaking peoples, with a traditional rural lifestyle, their own language (Barwe), and a cultural identity rooted in local African traditions and history.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Chewa-Sena people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is African Traditional Religion, and they primarily speak Barwe.
