The Pangwal Buddhists of India
The Pangwal Buddhists of India, numbering about 2,100 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a small sub‑group within the Pangwal (or Pangwala) tribal community of Pangi Valley, located in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh.
They are an indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Tibetan Buddhism, and they primarily speak Pangwali.
