The Thai Teng of Laos
The Thai Teng of Laos, numbering about 1,300 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Teng subgroup of southern Laos associated with the Tai Daeng sphere who maintain a distinct upland identity shaped by life in remote mountainous communities and close ties to neighboring Tai peoples.
They are an indigenous people in the Tai people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Tai Daeng.
