The Phutai Silur of Laos
The Phutai Silur of Laos, numbering about 5,600 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Silur subgroup of the Phu Thai people of Laos who belong to the broader Tai tradition and maintain a distinct identity within the Phu Thai-speaking communities of Laos.
They are an indigenous people in the Tai people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Phu Thai.
