The Makong Maroy of Laos
The Makong Maroy of Laos, numbering about 1,300 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Maroy subgroup of the So Makon people of Laos who belong to the broader Mon-Khmer tradition and maintain a distinct community identity within the So-speaking populations of southern Laos.
They are an indigenous people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Sô.
