The Katu Dak Kang of Laos
The Katu Dak Kang of Laos, numbering about 2,100 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Dak Kang subgroup of the Katu people of southern Laos who belong to the broader Mon-Khmer tradition and maintain a distinct highland identity in communities along the upper Xekong and Songboung river basins.
They are an indigenous people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Western Katu.
