The Machambe of Tanzania
The Machambe of Tanzania, numbering about 780,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Chagga people of the Machame area on Mount Kilimanjaro's southern slopes in Tanzania, once an independent kingdom that was the largest and most powerful Chagga chiefdom before German colonization.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Central-East people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Machame.
