The Tajiks of the Russian Federation, numbering about 1,240,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Tajik-speaking diaspora from Tajikistan shaped chiefly by large-scale labor migration to Russia, where many migrants maintain households and social ties across both countries.
They are a diaspora people in the Tajik people cluster of the Persian-Median Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Tajik.
