The Saranias of India
The Saranias of India, numbering about 6,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a community of north Gujarat and Saurashtra descended from the Gadoliya Lohar who migrated after the battle of Haldighati, their name recalling knife-sharpening. This itinerant trade remains their main livelihood, alongside toy-making.
They are an indigenous people in the Gujarati people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Gujarati.
