The Bavuri of India
The Bavuri of India, numbering about 7,800 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an Odia- and Telugu-speaking Scheduled Caste community of eastern India whose identity is shaped by village life, kinship networks, and the cultural traditions of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
They are an indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Odia.
