The Lahangir of India
The Lahangir of India, numbering about 1,800 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a community of Madhya Pradesh named for lahangas (petticoats) they once made, though many now identify as Kori. Wage labor, masonry, business, and government service have replaced their traditional craft.
They are an indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Bundeli.
