The Damami of India
The Damami of India, numbering about 6,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Rajasthani community also known as Rana and Dhawala, traditionally serving as drummers who led armies into battle bearing drums and nagaras, now diversified into business, government employment, and agricultural labor.
They are an indigenous people in the Rajput people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Mewari.
