The Ayri of India
The Ayri of India, numbering about 225 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a very small, little-documented Indigenous community in southern India, likely associated with the Kodava-speaking region and Hindu traditions, best understood as a localized micro‑group rather than a major caste or tribe.
They are an indigenous people in the Other South Asian people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Kodava.
