The Thachanad Moopan of India
The Thachanad Moopan of India, numbering about 3,100 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a community of Wayanad district, Kerala, who migrated from Nilambur in Malappuram district, traditionally hunters and honey-collectors. Animal husbandry and wage labor have largely replaced these traditional forest occupations.
They are an indigenous people in the Malayali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Malayalam.
