The Uppillian of India
The Uppillian of India, numbering about 9,800 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Tamil Nadu community, also called Uppiliyan or Uppilia Naicker, who migrated from Karnataka, their name recalling salt-making. Masonry and quarry work have largely replaced this trade, supplemented by petty business.
They are an indigenous people in the Tamil people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Tamil.

Pray for the Uppillian
- Ephesians 5:8. Pray that those walking in darkness will turn to the light and live as children of light.
