The Sinpho of India

The Sinpho of India, numbering about 15,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Tribe of Tirap district, Arunachal Pradesh, and Tinsukia district, Assam, of Mongoloid origin who migrated from Upper Burma around 1793. Settled and wet-rice cultivation remain their principal occupation.

They are an indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Theravada Buddhism, and they primarily speak Singpho.
