The Vayati of India
The Vayati of India, numbering about 16,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Gujarat community of Banaskantha district, also called Barot or Dholi, traditionally genealogists and drummers serving the Dungri Garasia community. Agriculture has largely replaced this traditional role.
They are an indigenous people in the Bhil people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Gamit.
