The Kathi of India
The Kathi of India, numbering about 19,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Gujarati community after whom the Kathiawar region is named, claiming descent from a Mahabharata-era warrior. Once pastoralists and sometimes raiders, they are now landowners and traders known for their decorative bead-work.
They are an indigenous people in the Gujarati people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Gujarati.
