The Chaikwa of India
The Chaikwa of India, numbering about 26,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste weaving community of the Jashpur region of Chhattisgarh who trace their origins to the Ganda and migrated from the Sambalpur area of Odisha. Their name comes from a ruler's praise of them as "neat and clean".
They are an indigenous people in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Sadri.
