The Wagheri of India
The Wagheri of India, numbering about 1,600 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a traditional ruling community of Okhamandal in Jamnagar district, Gujarat, claiming descent from a Jadeja Rajput who won the territory through marriage. Fishing, sailing, and factory labor now support most families.
They are an indigenous people in the Gujarati people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism, and they primarily speak Kachhi.
