The Chayakkaran of India
The Chayakkaran of India, numbering about 43,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Tamil Hindu occupational community whose name means dyer. The Chayakkaran traditionally engaged in dyeing and weaving, with women working alongside men, and trace a migration from the Thuluva country.
They are an indigenous people in the Tamil people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Tamil.

Pray for the Chayakkaran
- Romans 10:14–15. Ask God to send messengers, so that people can hear, believe and call on the name of the Lord.
