The Perumkollar of India

The Perumkollar of India, numbering about 85,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a blacksmithing community of Tamil Nadu and Kerala also called Viswakarma or Achari, their name meaning greater blacksmith. Cart-making and blacksmithy remain traditional, supplemented by lathe work and mat-weaving.

They are an indigenous people in the Malayali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Malayalam.
