The Isai Velalar of India
The Isai Velalar of India, numbering about 136,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a caste community of Tamil Nadu also known as Melakkaran. They are traditionally temple musicians descended from devadasi dancers, skilled in Carnatic music and Bharatanatyam.
They are an indigenous people in the Tamil people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Tamil.

Pray for the Isai Velalar
