The Nadua Shabar of India
The Nadua Shabar of India, numbering about 666,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a section of the Shabar tribe of Odisha whose name recalls their traditional bamboo snare used to trap birds. Cultivating others' land now supplements this trade and they worship the goddess Thakurani.
They are an indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Odia.
