The Chamail of India
The Chamail of India, numbering about 1,200 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a semi-nomadic Muslim community of Bihar concentrated around Barauni, Munger and Patna, whose name derives from cham (animal hide), reflecting a traditional livelihood of treating cattle and horses and selling meat.
They are an indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Hindi.
