The Naqqas of India
The Naqqas of India, numbering about 1,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a community of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, who migrated from Central Asia during the reign of Sultan Zain-ul-Abidin. Textile-printing and design work remain their occupation.
They are an indigenous people in the Kashmiri people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Kashmiri.
